Who Steals a Rocking Chair?
This sign caught my eye as I drove along Amherst Street. Can you help return this chair to its rightful owner?
Stolen: Red Rocking Chair.
That's what I saw as I drove past 52 Amherst Street on Tuesday. What caught my eye at first was the red-white-and-blue festoons, which gives the house a patriotic flair.
Then, the sign.

I decided to turn the car around and get a closer look at the sign.
The "fine print" reads: "Any information, please call Nashua Police - or return!"

I knocked on the door but there was no answer, so I left my card.
I decided to help get the word out with this post because, honestly, who does that?
Yes, it's petty crime in the scheme of things. And no, people probably shouldn't leave nice things out, like red rocking chairs, given the world we live in.
Still, it's not right.
