Your Guide to Nashua Block Party

Who's ready to rock the block party?

Block parties got their start, historically, during WWI, when neighbors would gather to sing patriotic songs and honor those who were off at war.

Of course, we know that neighbors have been getting together to celebrate this thing called life ever since cave people discovered that a fire pit makes a great place to linger over small talk and barbecued mastodon ribs.

Today, block parties are part of the revival of community spirit in neighborhoods around the country, including Nashua, where four block parties are happening all at once this Saturday Sept. 21 (rain date Sept. 27) from 1- 4 p.m.

Just pick your location from the list below, bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Food and beverages will be provided. No alcohol, please. All you have to do is show up with your family – and bring some friends.
