Alliance for Greater Good Hosts Cookies for First Responders

Random Acts of Kindness Day, celebrated annually on February 17th, is a day dedicated to spreading joy and positivity through simple, thoughtful gestures. This year, the Alliance for Greater Good is taking the spirit of kindness one step further by organizing Cookies for First Responders, a community-driven event aimed at honoring and supporting local heroes in the greater Portsmouth area.

Last year, volunteers delivered over 1,200 cookies to 20 fire, police, and emergency response stations across the Seacoast region. In 2025, the Alliance aims to expand its reach, adding six more locations to further brighten the day of our dedicated first responders.

How You Can Get Involved:

The Alliance is calling on community members to volunteer in two key ways:

1. Bake Cookies: Volunteers are encouraged to bake two dozen (or more) cookies to help spread some sweet kindness to first responders.
2. Sort & Deliver Cookies: Volunteers are also needed to assist with sorting and delivering cookies to first responder locations on February 13th. Deliveries will take place within a 30-minute drive from Portsmouth, NH.

Whether you're a skilled baker or just want to lend a hand, your involvement can help make a real difference. Last year’s efforts were met with overwhelming gratitude from our local heroes, and we hope to make 2025’s event even bigger and more impactful.
