On July 24, Benchmark at Rye, a Mind & Memory Care community held a silent auction, Cookout for a Cause, to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Association’s 2024 Seacoast Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Walk raises funds for Alzheimer’s research, reduction, early detection, quality care and support for those with dementia and their caregivers. A number of local businesses donated products, services and gift certificates to the silent auction, which were bid on by Seacoast area healthcare professionals and families, netting over $1,500. The community regularly hosts fundraisers to support The Alzheimer’s Association and since its inception has raised thousands of dollars.
