Foursquare Day 2013 is Today
Gov. Maggie Hassan to address chamber; Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival begins Wednesday; mostly sunny, mild day in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: Today will be sunny with a high temperature of 60 degrees. On Tuesday night, there will be a chance of showers with a low temperature near 44 degrees.
2. Gov. Hassan to address chamber: Gov. Maggie Hassan will address the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce during the Bank of America Speakers Series breakfast on Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel.
3. Foursquare Day 2013 is here: Portsmouth will hold its fourth annual Foursquare Day on Tuesday where Foursquare users will be able to score some great deals and discounts from several Portsmouth businesses. Foursquare Day 2013 organizers are also holding a meet-up at Moxy on Penhallow Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

4. Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival: Beginning this Wednesday, the Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival will get underway. This five day event is held at the Music Hall and Music Hall Loft and feature several concerts and a Seacoast Singer/Songwriter Round Robin tournament. Aimee Mann and Sharon Van Etten will also perform in concert this weekend.
5. Sarah Mildred Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will remain closed for another three weeks after it sustained structural damage from a tanker that crashed into it.
