NH AG Investigating Officer Involved Shooting On Turnpike In Dover
Moriah Infinjer, 28, was shot by an NH State Police Trooper during a traffic stop that started with a high-speed pursuit on Rt 16
DOVER, NH - The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Dover Police advised that a Chevrolet Traverse was speeding and failed to stop for them just before 1:00 a.m.
A short time later, a New Hampshire State Trooper traveling south on the Spaulding Turnpike/Rt16 had a gold Traverse come up behind him traveling at 107 MPH near exit 9.

According to radio traffic, the trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, which continued south at speeds over 100 MPH with lane control issues.

The vehicle was eventually stopped south of mile marker 8 of the Spaulding Turnpike.
Moriah Infinjer, 28, of Farmington, was identified as the driver. During the subsequent encounter with a trooper after the car was stopped, the trooper used deadly force and fired his weapon, according to Michael Garrity from NH Attorney General’s Office.
The highway was shut down, and a trooper at the scene requested an ambulance for Infinjer, who had a gunshot wound.
Troopers at the scene asked the dispatcher to call Dover to see if they had any shootings and if they noticed the driver’s side window was broken out.
There were no occupants in her vehicle. Infinjer remains hospitalized at this time with non-life-threatening injuries.
The highway was shut down for several hours as State Police Major Crime Unit worked at the scene.
Michael Garrity of the Attorney General’s Office said no law enforcement officers were physically injured in the incident, and there are no known threats to the public.
The New Hampshire State Police have charged Infinjer with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest or detention, criminal threatening – by conduct, reckless operation
The investigation by the New Hampshire Department of Justice into the shooting of Ms. Infinjer is ongoing, and the identity of the trooper who used deadly force will not be disclosed until a formal interview takes place. This is expected to occur sometime next week. Further information will be provided at that time.
