Police: Couple Caught Having Sex in Prescott Park

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, June 12 through Thursday, June 13.

Wednesday:

• At 10:15 a.m., police reported a simple assault on Osprey Drive that was reported by the Student Resource Officer.
• At 11:46 a.m., police reported a theft on Madison Street of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
• At 3:56 p.m., police arrested a Middleton, Mass., man on Woodbury Avenue. Peter Crowley, 27, of 47 Forest St. was charged with receiving stolen property.
• At 4:19 p.m., police assisted the Portsmouth Fire Department on Sagamore Avenue after a female bicyclist fell off her bike while avoiding a motor vehicle.

Thursday:

• At 12:35 a.m., police reported lewd-indecent exposure on Marcy Street after police found a couple fornicating in the bushes.
• At 2:08 a.m., police arrested a Somersworth woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Lafayette Road. Chelsea M. Glover, 20, of 289 Main St., Apt. B, was wanted on a bench warrant.
