Seacoast Girl’s Artwork Unveiled As Pro Portsmouth Children’s Day Logo For 2024
The design for the May 5 event, by Vesper Reed of Rye, will be featured on volunteer T-shirts, the event's map, social media, and online.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A girl from Rye is the designer of this year’s Children’s Day logo.
Vesper Reed’s artwork was chosen from several entries and offers the best of Spring — a cheerful rose and a rainbow. Her design will be featured on volunteer T-shirts, the day’s map, social media, and the Pro Portsmouth website.
The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on May 5. It will start at the Block Party’s Performance Area on Pleasant Street. Performances include Musical Fun with Steve Blunt & Marty Kelley (12:15 to 1:15 p.m.), Bryson Lang, Juggler Extraordinaire! (1:30 to 2:30 p.m.), and the Seacoast Civic Dance Company (3 to 3:45 p.m.), according to Barbara Massar, the executive director of Pro Portsmouth. Attendees can use the activity map and legend to participate in various crafts, games, and interactive activities in Downtown Portsmouth.
