Seeking Hundreds of New Winter Hats and Mittens for Local Families

The Alliance is proud to partner once again with Gather, the community nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger on the Seacoast. This year, we’re on a mission to provide warmth to food-insecure families during the colder months. With rising inflation and household expenses, we anticipate that the need for support will be greater than ever.

What We Need

We are collecting donations of NEW hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for both adults and children. The items most urgently needed are warm gloves and mittens for adults.

How to Help

There are two simple ways to contribute:

1. Purchase or Handcraft Items: Drop them off at one of our designated collection sites.
2. Donate Online: Click here and the Alliance will shop on your behalf.

Collection Details

You can drop off items from now until November 19 at one of the following locations:

• Senior Activity Center, 125 Cottage St, Portsmouth, NH
• YMCA of the Seacoast, 555 Peverly Hill Road, Portsmouth, NH
• Planet Fitness Stratham, 20 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH

All donated items will be distributed by Alliance volunteers to families receiving Thanksgiving meals at Gather's annual holiday food distribution event.
