VP Pence Rallies 'Cops For Trump' In Portsmouth Monday
Portsmouth police: Expect street closures around the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on Market Street Monday.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Vice President Mike Pence will be accepting the endorsement of the New England Police Benevolent Association in Portsmouth Monday. The event will be held at 1:15 p.m. at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on Market Street. Portsmouth police are warning residents that there will be traffic and parking impacts around the hotel.
Market Street between Deer and Russell streets will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
There will also be no parking on Market Street between Deer and Russell streets; no parking on Russell Street between Deer and Market streets; and limited parking on Deer Street.

"The Isle of Shoals parking lot will be closed during these hours," according to Capt. Michael Maloney of the department's patrol division. "Those holding parking passes for that lot are welcome to park at the Foundry Parking garage on Bridge Street at no charge. Please display your parking tag."
Both public works and the department's parking division will be using signboards and other visible "no parking" notices and signage in order to inform the public of the restrictions, he said.

After the event, the vice president will be heading to Manchester for a get-out-the-vote rally with President Donald Trump at the SNHU Arena.
