2 Charged With Robbery In Salem
Police say that two men from Sandown robbed a man during a drug deal in Salem, causing the victim to become unconscious before fleeing.
SALEM, NH — Two people from Sandown have been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred during an attempted drug deal on Wednesday, according to the Salem police. Domenic Vitello, 19, and Tyler Cahill, 18, both of Sandown, are charged with robbery. Vitello is also charged with second-degree assault.
Salem police say the robbery occurred around 5:30 p.m. A 22-year-old Salem man told police he was attacked while trying to sell an Xbox gaming system. The man gave a description of the two suspects and the tan Buick in which they drove away.
But later in their investigation, police learned that the 22-year-old was not trying to sell an Xbox; instead, he was trying to buy several marijuana cartridges, according to the Salem police. Police say that after the man payed cash for the cartridges, the suspects showed a firearm, punched and choked the victim into unconsciousness and then fled the scene.

Police came upon the vehicle matching the description of the tan Buick on Lawrence Road, around 5:45 p.m., police say. And the two occupants of the vehicle — Vitello and Cahill — matched the description of the suspects, according to police.
Police stopped the vehicle due to them matching the description of the suspects, and Vitello and Cahill were arrested and held overnight at Rockingham County jail. They were scheduled for arraignment Thursday.
