SALEM, NH -- Three Salem police officers this week were presented with community policing awards by a local McDonald's owner. The officers are Sergeant Michael Verrocchi and Officers Joseph DeFeudis and Austin Biery (pictured). State Senator Chuck Morse, Salem Police Chief Paul Donovan and McDonald's owner Peter Napoli attended a ceremony at a Salem McDonald's to honor the trio.

McDonald's hosted the event statewide on behalf of the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police. Also this month, Napoli and all other New Hampshire McDonald's owners held a donation drive for police officer training.
