5 Things To Know In Salem This Week: Tuscan Plans, I-93 Work

Roadwork on I-93, discussion of Tuscan Village plans and a presidential candidate visit are among top 5 things in Salem for upcoming week.

SALEM, NH — Tuscan Village plans are back under review in Salem this week, and a presidential candidate is coming to a town nearby. Here are the top five things to know in Salem this week.

  1. Plans for the Tuscan Village are back before the Planning Board this Tuesday, in a 7 p.m. meeting. Plans for a new medical building, a Pressed Cafe and a 740,000 mixed-use commercial and residential development are on tap for potential approval.
  2. Nighttime road construction will take place near Exit 3 on Interstate 93 Monday night into Tuesday morning. One-lane traffic will be implemented. Drivers, use caution.
  3. In nearby Windham, 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson will hold a public event Wednesday at the Searles School and Chapel. Registration to attend is at 2 p.m. and the event will go from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s a free public event.
  4. Do you have a toddler? The Mall at Rockingham Park is hosting Toddler Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It’s a monthly event taking place every third Tuesday of the month.
  5. If you had ordered a discounted rain barrel from the town in the past few weeks, don't forget to pick it up this Wednesday. The pickup period is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Town Hall.
