Andre ‘Never Quits’; Graduates From SNHU Saturday: Hampstead Shoutout

HAMPSTEAD, NH — Graduation is a major milestone and deserves to be celebrated! That's why Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to recognize our community's outstanding 2024 graduates.

In 2020, when coovid first hit, he was just beginning his sophomore year in aeronautical engineering. He struggled badly online as it was all brand new to him and that semester happened to be all core engineering. He decided to withdraw and go to work full-time until they went back in person. We were promised there would be no consequences to his GPA by administration; however, they dropped his GPA from a 3.89, more than a full point . When classes resumed, he returned, and despite a huge challenge with a low GPA, he graduated on May 4 with a 3.5 GPA with Sigma Gamma Tae National Honor Society of Aeronautical Engineering, Pi Mu Epsilon National Honor Society of Mathematics, & VP OF AIAA. We are so very proud of our son and his hard work. He took lemons & made some sweet lemonade. It will be a challenge getting a job in his field as the opportunities for internships were also lost during COVID for this college. I can honestly say give them a chance & hire them because they have overcome so much to make their degrees happen!
