Mikhael Sarkis, 50, of Lawrence, is being charged with vehicular homicide, two counts of driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt. Donna Bergeron, 41, of East Hampstead, was killed in the crash just minutes before midnight. It took place in Salisbury, Mass. According to the paper, Sarkis is due at Newburyport District Court on Jan. 30. According to her obituary published today on Salem Patch, Bergeron was a bartender at Atkinson Country Club and graduated from Castle Junior College.
