Bank Manager Calls Police on 'Impeach Obama' Gathering

The following arrest information was supplied by the Salem Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DECEMBER 4, 2013

10:40 a.m. Bank manager at Sovereign Bank on 125 Main St. reports a group gathered with tables set up on the sidewalk to "Impeach Obama." Manager wants the group removed since they are not good for business, but police find the subjects to be on public property,

12:00 p.m. Michael R. Barbosa, 35, of 5 Peters Lane in Haverhill, Mass. is arrested on a warrant at the Salem Police Department and charged with false report to law inforcement. Barbosa is released on a summons.

3:49 p.m. Christopher R. Mathieson, 26, of 4 Spring St. in Amesbury, Mass. is arrested after turning himself in to Rockingham County Sheriff on another warrant. He is charged on a Salem warrant for receiving stolen property and two counts of theft by deception. Mathieson is held at the jail and will be arraigned at Rockingham Superior Court. His bail is set at $2,500 cash.

6:02 p.m. Suspicious activity is reported at Borders Brew Supply on 10 Lawrence Road. Caller reports a red pick up truck and a dark colored dodge caravan in the back part of the lot. Caller is not sure if this is a drug deal or prostitution ring. He has found used condoms in the parking lot. This is an ongoing issue.

Caller called back reporting vehicles have left, but requests extra patrol in the area.
