'Bear' the Dog Found After Nine Weeks

"Bear," a dog who had been missing for nearly three weeks, is safe this morning after he was found, according to Granite State Dog Recovery officials.

Hope that Bear would be found was heightened about a week ago when reports surfaced that he had been seen running through Salem traffic. As more messages were posted on Facebook and more missing posters were displayed around town, more people who wanted Bear to be found safe did their share of looking.

One of the things that made the effort a little challenging is that Bear resembles a coyote and Granite State Dog Recovery officials wanted to make sure people understood that he was not a wild animal.
