Body Discovered Near Rockingham Road In Derry, Police Investigating

Derry police detectives are at an area outside the Running Brook Co-op investigating a deceased man found near a manufactured home park.

DERRY, NH — Derry police were working in an area along Rockingham Road where a body was discovered on Sunday.

Police were called for an unresponsive person near 100 Rockingham Road, just outside the fenced-in area of the Running Brook Co-Op, which has several manufactured homes.

Derry Fire Rescue responded just after noontime and quickly declared the man deceased. Police cordoned off the area with yellow crime scene tape and notified detectives to respond to the area.

Detectives could be seen taking photographs and documenting the scene.

Information from sources indicated it may be a man who lives in the Running Brook Co-Op, although no official confirmation has been released.

Derry police are handling the investigation, and the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is not involved. Based on several previous incidents, this would often indicate the death is likely not criminal. A local funeral home arrived at the scene just before 3:00 p.m. and removed the person from the scene.
