This year's 12th annual Comcast Cares Day drew a wave of volunteers to Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem. Children and adults in attendance were helping to refurbish the Veterans Memorial. The volunteer day for the company, which took place on Saturday, saw more than 700 project sites and an estimated 70,000 participants. Last April's event saw 70 volunteers head out to the Salem Town Forest to repair the trails and install a new drainage pipe on one of the trails. Previous work has also taken place at Hedgehog Park in 2010 and Camp Otter in 2011.
