Comic Book Legend Jim Steranko Signing Autographs In Salem On Sunday
Called one of the prime architects of Marvel Comics, Steranko will be at Little Giant Comics and Collectibles from noon to 6 p.m.

SALEM, NH —Little Giant Comics and Collectables in Salem is welcoming comic book royalty on Sunday with a visit from the legendary Jim Steranko.
From noon to 6 p.m., Steranko will be at the store, located at the Mall at Rockingham Park, 99 Rockingham Park Blvd. He will sign autographs for $50 per item. The store has requested that no photographs are taken.
According to his biography on FanCons.com, the 83-year-old Steranko is cited as one of the prime architects of Marvel Comics. He is the co-creator of Nick Fury and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and he also wrote Captain America, The Hulk, Superman and the X-Men, for which he designed the classic logo.

A WIZARD magazine poll named Steranko as the 5th most influential creator in the history of narrative art form.
Steranko has painted a number of movie posters, album covers and book covers, he created "Red Tide," which is credited as the first modern graphic novel, and he is the author of the two-volume "The History of Comics" series, each volume having sold 100,000 copies apiece.

Additionally, according to his bio, Steranko has collaborated with filmmakers Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola. He's even credited with creating the look for Indiana Jones.
Comic fans also have an exciting opportunity to join Steranko for a post-signing dinner.
According to Jason Brodnick, owner of Little Giant Comics and Collectables, as of Wednesday afternoon, there still were places available for the event, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Double Tree in Andover.
On social media, Brodnick said the $125 dinner includes the meal and one item signed by Steranko.
The menu will include: chicken marsala, London broil, rosemary roasted potatoes, roasted vegetable orzo and a decadent dessert. There also will be coffee and a cash bar.
