The charges range from felony theft and drug possession to sex offender registry violations and identity fraud, with authorities emphasizing that all defendants are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.

Southern New Hampshire Chamber Of Commerce Welcomes Day’s Jewelers To Salem (patch.com) — Salem shoppers have a new option for fine jewelry with the opening of Day’s Jewelers at 8 South Village Drive, celebrated by the Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce. Community members joined a ribbon-cutting that featured speeches, treats, raffles, and hands-on charm-making, highlighting the store’s long New England roots and employee-owned model.
   

3. MeVa Plans New Bus Routes with Faster Methuen Service, Access to Salem NH Medical (whav.net) — New Merrimack Valley Transit routes launching this spring will, for the first time, give riders direct bus access from Methuen to shopping and medical care in Salem, including Mass General Brigham at Tuscan Village. The cross-border Route 28 will connect with Manchester Transit, easing commutes for Salem workers and patients while also shortening crowded trips within Methuen and linking to Lawrence’s commuter rail.
   

4. BBB Serving New Hampshire awards $25,000 in scholarships to nine students (unionleader.com) — Two Salem residents, including a UNH student tied to Highline Auto Sales of Salem, have earned integrity scholarships from BBB Serving New Hampshire. They’re among nine students statewide recognized for ethics, leadership, and academics, sharing $25,000 in awards. The program is funded by BBB-accredited businesses and honors longtime BBB leader Robert Shomphe.
