Community Planner Leaving Salem, Taking $22K Pay Cut

The news was reported this morning.

Salem Community Planner William Scott will leave Salem for Amesbury, Mass. and take a pay cut of more than $20,000 per year, according to the Eagle Tribune.

According to the report, Scott has spent 12 years with Salem but will have a shorter commute from home in Amesbury. He will remain with Salem until June 24.

Plans to replace Scott will be discussed next Monday during the Board of Selectmen meeting.
