Original story (Dec. 5, 5 p.m.): A Nashua family is seeking help in finding Brenna Solberg, 16, who ran away from Manchester Thursday.

According to Emily Solberg, Brenna's sister, the family got a call sometime after 1 a.m. Thursday that Brenna had run away from where she had been staying for the past year.

"Apparently she pulled the fire alarm, and everyone had to evacuate. That's when she left," said Solberg.

She said they believe Brenna may be heading toward Maine, but are worried that she has no money and may not be dressed for the weather. Police have been notified.

"It's freezing out," said Solberg, who also said that they believe Brenna may be in the company of another resident who also left, but they do not have a lot of information.

"I think maybe she's scared to contact us, afraid she will get in trouble.  All we care about is her safety, that's of prime importance, just knowing she's OK," Solberg said.

Brenna is described as about 5-foot-1, between 125-135 pounds, with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin. Her hair is shaved on one side. The family asks the public to please share this story via social media.

Anyone with information should contact police at 668-8711, or contact the family at either 603-820-1534 or 603-341-0529.
