Holiday Shoppes At Tuscan Village Begins In Salem On Friday

The inaugural festive, open-air marketplace runs through Dec. 31 and will feature 30 small businesses selling art, food and clothing.

SALEM, NH — The holiday season at Tuscan Village officially gets started this weekend with the beginning of the first-ever Holiday Shoppes at Tuscan Village.

The festive, open-air marketplace starts Friday and will last until Dec. 31 at Tuscan Village, located at 9 Via Toscana Dr. The marketplace will take place Thursday to Sunday each week: from 4 p.m. to close on Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to close on Saturday and Sunday.

At the marketplace, 30 small businesses and artists will be selling products like art, sweet treats, home décor and apparel.

Among the vendors expected to be part of the Holiday Shoppes at Tuscan Village are: Flicker and Twinkle (scented candles), Sweet Botanical Bakes (shortbread cookies made with edible flowers), Smith & Saylor (children's clothing), Ardor (athleisure clothing) and Rocco's Donuts (gourmet doughnuts).

The event also will feature a heated tent serving festive food and cocktails, like: the Mistletoe Margarita and the Feliz Navidad, a version of an adult hot chocolate.

Also at Tuscan Village, the annual Tree Market will begin on Nov. 25. The market will be across from the Mass General Brigham Integrated Care building and is sponsored by the Exchange Club of Salem.

The annual Christmas tree sale is a major fundraiser for the Exchange Club and other local nonprofits.

On Dec. 3, Tuscan Village will host its second Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event actually will feature a full day of activities.

Beginning at noon, there will be live music, face-painting and wine sampling. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. guests will be able to visit with Santa.

At 6 p.m. Tuscan Brands Founder Joe Faro will illuminate the Tuscan Village Christmas tree. Guests are encouraged to hang around to enjoy Christmas carolers and dancers.

"From holiday shopping, tree lighting, hands-on cooking classes and events all throughout our village, there are plenty of experiences that you won't want to miss this holiday season," Tuscan Village said in a statement.

A Tuscan village spokesperson said new events will be added each week, and people are encouraged to look out for announcements on the Tuscan Village website and on social media.
