U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte will tour Gamma Medica, located at 12 Manor Parkway, Unit 3, in Salem, on Friday, Nov. 8, at 9:15 a.m.
Jim Calandra, president and CEO of Gamma Medica, Inc., and the Gamma Medica team will welcome Senator Ayotte with a tour of the facility, a technology review and visit with employees. Specializing in advanced digital molecular imaging technology, Gamma Medica’s product, the LumaGEM® Molecular Breast Imaging (MBI) system enables the early detection of breast cancer.

Approximately 40 percent of women have dense breast tissue which makes presently available mammography screening unlikely to identify early-stage cancers. Gamma Medica provides a leading-edge technology designed to aid breast radiologists in diagnosing difficult cases, particularly in women with dense breast tissue.
