Library Trustees Seek New Member

Due to an unanticipated resignation, the town has issued a call for candidates to serve as a member of the Kelley Library Board of Trustees. 

The term runs through March 10, 2015.

A description of the duties and expectations of a Kelley Library Trustee can be found on the Kelley Library (http://www.kelleylibrary.org) website. Additionally, the duties and responsibilities of Library Trustees can be found under NH Revised State Statute 202-A:11. The RSA can be viewed on the State of New Hampshire website as follows:

Trustees are elected annually in March. If a vacancy exists, the Board of Selectmen, as authorized under RSA 31:22, fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term. The Kelley Library Board of Trustees will be making recommendations to the Board of Selectmen based on a review of interested candidates. Any registered voter of Salem, wishing to serve on the Kelley Library Board of Trustees should submit a letter of interest to the following address by 5 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2014:

Interviews with the Kelley Library Board of Trustees are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2014 beginning at 7 p.m. Applicants will receive notification of the interview date.
