Man Accused of Child Porn has Charge Dropped

The Eagle Tribune reported the news this week.

A Salem resident and former employee of the Eagle-Tribune newspaper accused of child pornography has had his charge dropped, according to a report by the Eagle Tribune this week.

Troy C. Thompson, 68, was scheduled to face trial in a few weeks, according to the paper. County Attorney Jim Reams told the paper that the case was dropped because doubts arose about the age of a person in the image. He only faced one charge although 15 files were found on his computer.

A child pornography task force originally searched Thompson's home in January 2012.
