Man Arrested for Reportedly Pushing Woman Out of Truck

Salem Police arrested an Atkinson man Sunday after he reportedly pushed a woman out of a truck.

Peter Pratt, 27, was charged with simple assault (domestic).

At 9:53 p.m., police responded to the area of Route 111/Zachary Crossing after witnesses reported that the woman was pushed out of the truck and sustained a hand injury along with several scrapes on her body.

Salem Fire responded to the scene and transported the 25-year-old woman to Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

Pratt had left the scene but was located approximately 25 to 30 minutes later with the help of Atkinson Police. He was found on Route 121 and taken into custody without incident pursuant to the 12-hour rule for domestic violence.

He was transported back to the Salem Police Department where he was booked and later released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail.
