Man Charged with Assault, Criminal Threatening at Hess

Editor's note: The following entries are excerpts from logs submitted by Salem Police.

MAY 10, 2013

10:37 a.m. Subject sent suicide threat via text to a Salem High School student. Subject was located in Chelmsford, Mass.

Alive and well, they will be following up.

10:47 a.m. Anthony John Vitale, 40, of 30 Hidden Road in Methuen, Mass. is arrested on a warrant at the Salem Police Department and charged with shoplifting – theft. Bail set at $5,000 cash.

MAY 11, 2013

4:08 a.m. Tow truck driver reporting he picked up a car in Manchester, N.H. and was dropping it off at Sears Auto on 1 Mall Road for repair when he found out there was a subject passed out in the back seat covered with a blanket. There are friends of this subject who followed the tow truck and according to the caller "think it's funny." 

3:27 p.m. Kevin Marino Suarez, 28, of 3 May Court in Methuen, Mass. is arrested on a warrant at the Salem Police Department and charged with theft by unauthorized taking. Bail set at $2,500 cash. Subject will be transported to Rockingham County House of Corrections.

5:40 p.m. Gary Wayne Demone, 56, of 16 Union St. in Salem, N.H. is arrested at Hess on 362 N. Broadway St. and charged with simple assault, criminal threatening againt a person and an arrest on a warrant.

Demone was also served a restraining order.

10:58 p.m. Caller reporting a male subject on Lancelot Court with curly hair and a T-shirt, runnign around screaming at the cars as they pass.

Officers reporting there was a small group of kids in hte entrance when officers arrived. They will be going home for the night.
