A Brentwood man was indicted at Rockingham Superior Court this month after allegedly attempting to pawn stolen jewelry. Michael J. Foye, 36, of Rockingham County House of Corrections, 99 North Road in Brentwood, N.H. was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property, forgery and theft by deception. According to court documents, Foye retained and then disposed of a gold chain, class ring and claddagh ring at N.H. Pawnbroker Services, located on 351 S. Broadway. The value of the three stolen items totaled in excess of $1,000. The alleged crime reportedly took place between Aug. 23 and Sept. 7. The forgery charge came after Foye allegedly forged a signature on a check to TD Bank on Aug. 31. According to a report by the Union Leader in November, Foye was arrested by Candia police for burglary after allegedly stealing the jewelry from a Candia resident. He also reportedly had worked for the allegedy victim.
