Man Who Led Salem Police on Chase to Finally be Sentenced
Wagnel Luna was arrested in June 2011 on multiple drug and assault charges.

The Salem Observer has reported that a Peabody, Mass. man who is accused of dealing heroin and attempting to drive his car at a Salem police officer is finally expected to plead guilty on Feb. 14.
Wagnel Luna, 30, led police on a chase from Salem to Dracut, Mass. in June 2011 after officers allegedly broke up up a drug deal.
According to the paper, Luna has been expected to plead guilty in the case at least four times but the case has been repeatedly delayed with requests to reschedule by the defense.

According to a Salem Patch report following his arrest, Luna was charged with multiple counts of drug and motor vehicle violations in both states, along with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (his car) and three active warrants from Massachusetts.
Despite the theatrics of the chase through two states, there were no injuries and only one Salem cruiser suffered minor front-end damage.
