Members of law enforcement agencies around the country will be attending the private ceremony.

When police officers from across the country and members of the MIT community descend on Cambridge today for Sean Collier’s memorial service they will be joined by some from the Salem Police Department.

Members of the Salem Police honor guard will attend the ceremony, according to Salem Deputy Chief Shawn Patten.

The memorial service will be private, only members of law enforcement and the MIT community with proper identification will be allowed to attend. The Westboro Baptist Church is expected to attend the memorial in protest from outside.
