Missing Border Collie in Salem

2. BORDER COLLIE MISSING IN SALEM: Granite State Dog Recovery has announced that a 5-year-old, 60-pound Border Collie named Marley has gone missing in Salem. The dog has a black collar with tags and is black with white markings.

He went missing on May 9 in the wooded area behind his home on Gibney Circle (off of Twinbrook Avenue). Marley suffers from seizures, so he may have become disoriented.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On May 10, 1863, the South loses one of its boldest and most colorful generals, when 39-year-old Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson dies of pneumonia a week after his own troops accidentally fired on him during the Battle of Chancellorsville in Virginia. In the first two years of the war, Jackson terrorized Union commanders and led his army corps on bold and daring marches. He was the perfect complement to Robert E. Lee.
