NH Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Sharp Curve: Police
New Hampshire State Police said a Hampstead crash claimed the life of Eric Leighton, of Sandown.

HAMPSTEAD, NH — A New Hampshire man was killed in a crash in Hampstead Saturday afternoon. New Hampshire State Police said Eric Leighton, 53, of Sandown, was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Kent Farm Road at about 3:55 p.m. when he encountered a sharp curve. Leighton crashed on the ground and slid into the path of a pickup truck driven by a 59-year-old Sandown man, police said. Leighton was transported to Parkland Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
"It does not appear that speed was a factor in this crash, however all aspects remain under investigation," state police Sergeant Steven Wheeler said in a statement.
