OBITUARY: James V. O'Halloran

He died suddenly in his home at the age of 83.

James V. O’Halloran, 83, of Salem, NH, died suddenly, Wednesday at his home.

Born in Boston, MA, he grew up and was educated in Charlestown, MA. Jim retired from the Long Shoreman’s Union where he was a former treasurer. He was a founding member of the Cronin Club in Charlestown, MA. He served in US Army during World War II and Korea where he was a tank commander. He was an avid gardener.

He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Brooks) O’Halloran and his siblings, Mary Glennon, Louise Toppham, John, Martin, Patrick and Robert O’Halloran.

He is survived by 2 step daughters, Susan Goff and her husband John Wilson of Concord, NH and

Patricia Ladd of Abbott Village, ME;

sister, Joan Lang of Everett, MA;

many nieces and nephews

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 5th at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, Windham, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.

Calling hours are, Friday, Jan. 4th from 4-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
