Philip E. English Sr., age 69 of Salem, NH, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Dunstable, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem for over 47 years.

Phil was a self employed contractor, and was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR, Old Orchard Beach, Horse Racing and Casinos. Most of all Phil loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Marie (Terramagra) English of Salem

Christine & her husband Keith Sidman of Fremont, NH

2 Sons: Philip E. II & his wife Heidi English of Salem, NH

Joseph & his wife Christie English of Pelham, NH

5 Brothers: Dwayne English of Salem, Merle English of Las Vegas, NV, Hank English of Pepperell, MA, Jack English of Manchester, NH, Kenny English of Pepperell, MA

Sister: Barbara Wilson of Florida

4 Grandchildren: Matthew & Jonathan Sidman, Taylor and Skylar Rae English

Calling hours were Monday from 4-8 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Cremation followed
