The parents of a student who fell through the Salem High School bleachers in 2010 are suing the school and the town, according to the Union Leader.

According to the report, Ann and Christian Butterworth of Salem recently filed a civil lawsuit claiming the school district and town were negligent due to the alleged failure to address "sizable gaps" in the Grant Field bleachers. Their daughter Kayla, who was 12 at the time, suffered a broken right wrist, dislocated right elbow, multiple fractures of her right pelvis, facial lacerations, and other injuries, according to the suit.
