• 'Paint tax' bill heads to Ayotte's desk (unionleader.com) — Salem residents may soon pay a small fee on paint and stain purchases, as a statewide “paint tax” recycling bill heads to Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s desk. Local Sen. Daryl Abbas opposed the measure, warning it could hurt small hardware stores even as supporters say it will save towns money on hazardous waste days.
