Salem Cruise Company Hopes to Raise $100K for Bombing Victims
Salem-based Cruise Travel Outlet is raffling a free cruise to a donor.
A Salem-based cruise company is hoping to raise big money to help the victims of the April 15 terrorist attacks at the Boston Marathon.
Cruise Travel Outlet, located on 39 Main St., has started an online fundraiser with the goal to raise $100,000 for the victims of the bombings and subsequent incidents on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus and in Watertown, Mass.
The fundraiser was launched on April 22 on the website YouCaring.com.

The company is suggesting a $20 donation for those giving to the cause. As of Thursday night, a total of $1,290 from 38 different donors had been given.
A free cruise is also being raffled to one of the donors, as is mentioned in the description of the fundraiser provided below.

On April 15, 2013, tragedy struck Boston. 4 innocent lives were taken and over 170 people were injured during this senseless tragedy.
After donating to this cause you will automatically be entered into a raffle. The prize being raffled off is a free 7 night Norwegian Cruise Line cruise for two. The winner of this raffle can chose ANY 7 night 2013 or 2014 Norwegian Cruise Line sailing departing from Boston, MA or New York City, including sailings on the brand new Norwegian Breakaway courtesy of Cruise Travel Outlet and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
The world saw firsthand the immediate reaction to this devastating tragedy was not hate, intimidation, anger or fear, but compassion, strength, determination, and unity.
