Salem Engineer Sentenced to One Year for Pot Operation

The Union Leader reported the news on Friday.

A Salem engineer who conducte a large marijuana growing operation was sentenced last week to one year in county jail, according to the Union Leader.

Henry Danico, 47, was arrested on Aug. 7, 2011 and charged with manufacturing of a controlled drug. Danico was caught with 88 marijuana plants inside his home, all in various stages of growth.

According to Danico's lawyer, he began growing marijuana due to his mortgage inflating above what he initially owed.
