The Salem High School Blue Devils Marching Band capped a strong competition season Saturday with a gold medal in the Maine Band Directors' Association Finals.
It was the second finals gold medal in as many weeks for the Blue Devils, as one week earlier they also took gold in the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Directors Association Finals.
The band performed a show entitled "Not Cool," which featured music from Leonard Bernstein's musical, "West Side Story."
