Salem Man Charged With Choking Girlfriend
Jordan Bourlos, 24, also had two active arrest warrants.

A Salem man was arrested on Friday and charged with choking his girlfriend, according to Salem Police.
Jordan Bourlos, 24, was charged with second degree assault, false imprisonment, and two warrants – one related to child support and another bench warrant out of Salem District Court.
Salem Police responded to a 911 call at 17 Atkinson Road for reports that a male subject was refusing to let his girlfriend leave.

According to the 20-year-old victim, Bourlos had choked her around the neck with both hands, cutting off her air. Police reported significant bruising on her neck.
Police learned upon arrival that Bourlos fled on foot from the scene.

Salem Police Officer Paul Benoit and K9 Til responded and tracked Bourlos. He was located hiding in the woods about 1/4 of a mile from the house.
Bourlos was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to Rockingham County Jail after refusing the services of the bail commissioner.
