Salem Man Found Not Guilty of Teen's Murder

Michael Ferreira was one of three charged in the 1969 death of a Tewksbury, Mass. youth.

A Middlesex, Mass. Superior Court jury has found Michael Ferreira of Salem, N.H. not guilty in connection with the 1969 death of Tewksbury, Mass. teen Johnny McCabe.

Ferreira was acquitted despite the testimony of Edward Alan Brown of Londonderry, who admitted to his role in the murder and implicated Ferreira.

The jury deliberated roughly five hours before announcing its verdict.
