​Salem Man Indicted By Grand Jury In Connection With Fatal Shooting

MANCHESTER, NH - The Hillsborough County Grand Jury – Northern District has returned indictments charging John Delee, 22, with one count of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Timothy Pouliot outside of a Manchester bar.

The grand jury also indicted Delee on an alternative count of second-degree murder as he's accused of recklessly causing the death of Pouliot under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, officials said.

He was also indicted on reckless conduct as he is accused of recklessly placing others in danger of serious bodily injury by means of a deadly weapon by firing a pistol multiple times in proximity to occupied cars and pedestrians.

The fatal shooting occurred on Old Granite Street outside of the Goat Bar and Grille after Delee had been removed from the bar.

The cell phone video viewed thousands of times showed Pouliot throwing a punch at Delee who then immediately fired a handgun fatally shooting Pouliot multiple times. Pouliot died at the scene from several gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

Delee is scheduled to be arraigned on these charges at 9:00 am, on May 18, 2023, in the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Northern District.
