Salem Police Log: Sept. 2-Sept. 12

Theft, gun incidents and a motorcycle accident were among items reported in the latest Salem police logs.

SALEM, NH — The following items were selected from the Salem police log for the time period of Monday, Sept. 2 to Sunday, Sept. 8. Arrests do not indicate guilt. The names of any minors have been omitted.

Monday, Sept. 2

Ralph Leslie Jordan III, 49, of Methuen, Massachusetts, was charged with forgery and theft by deception of property valued at more than $1,500. Kelly Cooper, 41, of Salem, was charged with domestic simple assault.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

Kaleigh B. Seckendorf, 30, of Salem, was charged with domestic simple assault. Christopher L. Briggs, 50, of Pittsfield, was charged with bail jumping.

Also, a motorcycle accident was reported on Main Street just after 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

A disabled company car is reported stolen from a Main Street business. A two-car accident with no injuries was reported on North Main Street at Town Farm Road. No arrests reported.

Thursday, Sept. 5

Jennifer M. Ahearn, 46, of Manchester, was charged with bail jumping. James R. Layden, 26, of Salem, was charged with domestic violence-related stalking and breach of bail. Vanessa A. McNinch, 34, of Nashua, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking of property valued at $1,000 or less. After a vehicle crash near the intersection of Shadow Lake and Witch Hazel roads, Christopher John Gaudette, 35, of Salem, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

Also, a verbal fight was reported on Millville Street. Near the Interstate 93 rest area, a man was reported to hold a gun to someone's head in a vehicle. Police determined no weapon was involved, it was a dog in the passenger seat with its face by the driver.

Friday, Sept. 6

On Cross Street, someone reported that a neighbor was shooting off a gun around 8:20 a.m. No arrests reported.

Saturday, Sept. 7

Christine Dovey, 32, and Heather Anna Learned, both of Haverhill, Massachusetts, were charged with willful concealment. After a reported vehicle pursuit with police, Daniel Patrick Hunt, 26, of Salem, was charged with two counts of DUI, one count of aggravated DUI and two counts of disobeying an officer.

Sunday, Sept. 8

Jon M. Adamo, 31, of Danvers, Massachusetts, was charged with disorderly conduct. After a shoplifting report at Macy's, Jermaine Kanyi Kariuki, 18, of Lowell, Massachusetts, was charged with willful concealment and resisting arrest.

At Holiday Inn, a guest was taken to Holy Family Hospital after suffering a cut on his head. Also, someone reports a vehicle passenger holding what appeared to be a gun out the window on Route 28; Methuen police are notified.
