Salem Police Searching For Witnesses To Monday Incident At CVS

The department said it is looking for the person who reported suspicious activity or anyone else who witnessed anything peculiar.

SALEM, NH —The Salem Police Department took to social media on Wednesday in an attempt to locate a witness who reported suspicious activity earlier this week at a local CVS store.

The department said it also is looking to find anyone else who witnessed the incident.

The SPD did not provide details about the incident other than to say it occurred at around 5:45 p.m. at the store located at 512 Broadway St. The department said the public is not in any danger.

According to police, the witness who reported the crime had left the store by the time officers responded to the scene.

"There is an ongoing investigation that must be corroborated by the witness who reported the incident, or anyone else that may have witnessed anything peculiar," the SPD said in a statement.

The department continued: "If you, or anyone you know, was at this CVS on (Monday) at around 5:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., please call dispatch at 603-893-1911 and ask to speak with a supervisor."
