Salem Resident Among Service Academy Nominees
The local student was named among the 40 New Hampshire residents nominated by Sen. Kelly Ayotte.

A Salem resident and Central High School student is among the 40 New Hampshire students who have been nominated to attend one of the nation's service academies in 2013.
Colleen Slein will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Also named were several students from nearby towns of Londonderry, Derry, Windham and Nashua.
"It's an honor to nominate outstanding young people to be considered for admission to our nation's service academies," Ayotte said in a statement. "These young men and women have excelled inside and outside the classroom while making valuable contributions to their local communities. They represent some of the very best of New Hampshire and I expect great things from them in the future."
