Shooting Reported On South Main Street In Derry

One person was reportedly shot at the Lobster Claw II restaurant in Derry, taken to Eliot Hospital; police, sheriffs search for suspect.

DERRY, NH — Derry police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a shooting on Wednesday on South Main Street.

Specific information is limited at post time. According to scanner chatter, the shooting occurred at the Lobster Claw II around 5:45 p.m. One person was injured critically and taken to the Eliot Hospital in Manchester.

Derry Shooting Suspect Taken Into Custody At Gunpoint In North Hampton

A gunman is still on the loose. He was described as white in a light blue sweatshirt. The suspect may be driving a green Subaru Forester or a silver Cadillac, both with New Hampshire registrations. The man was reportedly in a "schizophrenic state," according to a BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) alert.
