Should NH Expand Medicaid?

1) Salem weather: The sun will be the star of this day. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a mostly sunny day with high temperatures in the low 80s.

4) Will they or won't they? The Commission to Study Expansion of Medicaid Eligibility is scheduled to meet again this morning, July 30, at 9 a.m. This is the group studying whether or not New Hampshire should expand Medicaid. A report is expected by Oct. 15. Salem-NH Patch blogger William F. Klessens has something to say about it, which you can read here (he writes that New Hampshire should expand Medicaid to extend coverage to about 58,000 residents under 65). What do you think?

5) Speaking of health insurance. On this day in 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed Medicare, the law providing health insurance for the elderly, according to History.com. Former President Harry S. Truman enrolled as the first beneficiary.
