Spring Road Construction Slated to Begin in Salem

1. TODAY'S FORECAST: Expect a high of 52 today with partly cloudy skies. The temperature will dip down to a low of 40 tonight.

2. CONSTRUCTION SEASON SLATED TO BEGIN: Residents of Salem should be observing various activities being conducted by this year's contractors for road reconstruction projects. Pond Street, Sand Hill Road, Stiles Road, Bluff Street Bridge, and Providence Hill Road Bridge are all slated for Construction activities to begin in the near future. Residents and motorists should proceed with caution in these areas taking note of operations and possible detours.

3. SELECTMEN MEET TONIGHT: A proposal to reconstruct a portion of Sand Hill Road not included in the 2013 Road Improvement Program will be made during tonight's meeting, which will start at 7 at Town Hall. See the complete agenda here.
